Emergency & Urgent Care Vet
WHO WE ARE
ABOUT
When to Choose Urgent Care for Your Dog or Cat
Urgent Care Pet Clinic bridges the gap between your primary veterinarian and a 24-hour specialty hospital. In addition to advanced soft-tissue surgeries—gastrotomy, enterotomy, exploratory laparotomy, laceration repair, abscess drainage and more—we treat the most common non-life-threatening pet emergencies under one roof.
Bring your pet in right away if you notice:
Persistent vomiting or diarrhea
Minor cuts, lacerations, or bite wounds
Laboured or noisy breathing
Sudden allergic reactions, hives, or swelling
Eye infections or squinting
Insect bites or bee stings
Coughing, sneezing, or upper-respiratory infections
Minor burns or paw-pad injuries
Should I bring my pet to Urgent Care Pet Clinic or a 24-Hour ER?
If your dog or cat is stable—breathing normally, alert, and not bleeding heavily—our San Diego urgent-care vet team can treat them the same day. For life-threatening trauma or uncontrolled seizures, head straight to a 24-hour emergency hospital. When in doubt, call us at (858) 379-6550 and a nurse will guide you.
Do you offer vaccines or routine wellness services?
Our primary focus is same-day urgent veterinary care, but we can add core vaccines during your visit when appropriate. Let our front desk know what your pet needs, and the doctor will confirm if it can be done at the same appointment.
Can you help with end-of-life exams and euthanasia?
Yes. We provide compassionate quality-of-life consultations and humane euthanasia in a quiet room. Schedule an extended appointment so we can discuss options, comfort care, and after-care arrangements at your pace.
Do you take walk-ins?
Walk-ins and drop-off appointments are welcome during business hours; however, booking a same-day time slot online or by phone helps us keep wait times low and ensures your pet is seen as quickly as possible.
